Alex Mashinsky
Alex Mashinsky, CEO

Alex Mashinsky is one of the most recognized figures in the international telecommunications industry. As the Managing Partner of VenturiFX, an early stage venture capital firm, Alex founded several companies including LimoRes,Inc. in 2002, Qwireless in 2001, Elematics in 2000, and Arbinet (Nasdaq: ARBX) in 1996, where he served as its CEO until Jan 2000. Combining the unique talents of business strategist and technological innovator Alex is continuing to invent new technologies in the communications field. A featured speaker at over 120 international communications conferences and TV interviews, and the author of over 50 patents relating to internet and communication technologies, Alex has received numerous awards for innovation including the prestigious 2000 Albert Einstein Technology medal and the Technology Foresight Award for Innovation (presented in Geneva at Telecom 99).

As the leading evangelist of the B2B bandwidth exchanges, Alex has proven his ability to identify the winning trends, build a powerful intellectual property portfolio and bring together winning teams to build world-class companies. He has raised over one hundred fifty million dollars to help position his startups as leaders in their fields.

Scott McCoy
Scott McCoy, Co-founder

Scott McCoy brings over 30 years of experience of TV media industry to DigiMeld. Prior to joining DigiMeld, Scott McCoy is the President Malachite Media, an independent advertising sales representation company and co-owner of the TEAMGroup Media network a place based television network featuring CNN programming in the VIP lounges of the major airlines.

Before that, Mr. McCoy was the Senior Vice President, Sales for Adoutlet.com. Adoutlet.com was a pioneer company that built the most successful Internet based online marketplace for the buying and selling of advertising time and space.

Prior to joining Adoutlet.com, he held senior sales management positions at The Military Channel, a start up cable television network featuring military themed movies, documentaries and news, and The Prevue Channel, the dominant TV listings guide on cable television.

The majority of Mr. McCoy's career included over twelve years with Turner Broadcasting with responsibilities including 9 years as Vice President, Western Region Manager and 3 years as Vice President, Sales Manager for CNN, Headline News, CNN Airport Network and CNN Broadcast Networks in New York City.

Mr. McCoy's first sales position included 2 years as an account executive for MTV, Music Television during its start up phase in the early eighties. The first five years of his advertising career was in media planning where he reached the Associate Media Director level at Foote, Cone & Belding. With planning and buying responsibilities for major national clients, Mr. McCoy gained a grassroots understanding of the media planning and buying process for all media, including broadcast and cable network and local television, national and local radio, magazines, newspapers, and outdoor.

Jerry Qin
Dr. Jerry Qin, CTO

Jerry brings more than 13 years of experience in enterprise solution and telecommunication software development to DigiMeld. He is skilled across the complete lifecycle of product development/project management as well as a wide spectrum of software technologies, including overlay multicast, Voice over IP, and enterprise/web application development.

Prior to joining DigiMeld, Jerry was the CTO of Surho, where he developed Surho's Internet telephony service platform, from the front-end website and customer online service system to the back-end SIP proxy, database and platform administration. Jerry has built a profound understanding of distributed computing, Internet telecommunication protocols and data transmission algorithms under complex environments.

Prior to Surho, Jerry was the CTO of Jointop Software, where he directed the product development (CRM and e-Commerce solutions) and a cross functional team of 11+ staff. He also led the implementation of CMM-3 in the company.

Mr. Jerry Qin holds a Ph.D. in applied physics from New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Chi Eng
Chi Eng, Senior Vice President

Mr. Eng contributes over 20 years of legal and communications industry experience to DigiMeld, including a wealth of experience in driving strategic partnerships and acquisitions in the areas of digital media, telecommunications, and intellectual property.

He was Senior Vice President, Intellectual Property Counsel of Arbinet-thexchange, the world's leading telecommunications trading exchange that he joined since April 2000. From 2002 to 2006, he was Arbinet's General Counsel and actively managed, among other responsibilities, private financing rounds during its startup days and subsequently, the initial public offering in 2004.

Mr. Eng is a named inventor of several U.S. patent and patent applications. He also spent six years with a New York boutique law firm focusing on communications technology intellectual property law and representing multinational telecommunications corporate clients.

Prior to becoming an attorney, he spent seven years as a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Labs (now Alcatel-Lucent) developing communications industry software and systems.

Mr. Eng graduated from Fordham Law School in 1993, received advanced engineering degrees from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983, is a member of the State Bar of New York and New Jersey, and a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
